Life Doesn't Always Hand The Lemons

I hate when people say, "when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade".

Sis, life doesn't always just hand you these lemons.

Life smacks you with the lemons and emotionally/physically, you become a spiraling mess.

A few months ago, three months into moving into my aunts house. I fell into a deep depression and found myself not motivated to work or go to school. Thankfully, the school attendance was good but I found myself unemployed for a couple of months.

It was a wreck trying to spare the savings I had made for a whole year to cover bills but I did it nevertheless.

After drowning myself in the pity I had for myself, the motivational spurt took over my soul.

Definitely, seeing my creative friends accomplishing goals and striving in their strength juiced my motivation up.

Also, just watching motivational videos of young entrepreneurs helped me ALOT too. The recent motivational video I've watched is by former Viner star Jay Versace. He spoke about his history of living in the "hood" and moving out to Los Angeles at 18-years-old on a low income with no set future income. Although, his non-stop hard work in producing material, created the success he strive for after all.

The extensive 10-min video reminded me of the meaning of life and the reason I picked the academic route to reach the success I want to achieve.

Versace brought up a point in appreciating any success along the way as you reach the success goal especially as a person that comes from a low-income community.

Once he stated this in the video, I #related so hard. If that's even a thing to say or feel.

Now, it's been a daily goal of mine to keep reminding myself of the goals I have for myself.

One of the main goals I have for myself is to fully dedicate myself to the art I want to put out in this world, either if its through writing or art.

Graduation is right around the corner, and by then the adult life will hit harder so appreciating the grace period of paying off the hefty loans is at an all time high right now.

Anyways, welcome to my blog!
